The Lofty Group is led by Tracy Kane Lofty, MSA, CAE, a veteran in the nonprofit sector with more than 25 years of experience in professional development. She has written several articles and spoken on topics relating to certification, career development, and education program planning. In addition she has led teams through strategic planning and has been successful in building financially sound educational and certification programs. Having a background in communications and a passion for mentoring, Tracy combines her skill and experience to bring you thought-provoking ideas and tips for talent development
Currently, Tracy serves as the Executive Director of an international trade association based in Washington, DC. She previously served as founding Executive Director of the Commission on Nurse Certification and has served as Director of Postdoctoral Residency Training Standards and Evaluation for the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She has a Master’s of Science in Administration (Human Resource Development) from Trinity University in Washington, DC and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree (Radio/TV/Film) from the University of Maryland, College Park. In addition, her certificate in event management is from George Washington University’s School of Business, and she is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Advanced Certification Administrator (ACA).
In 2016, Tracy was named Mrs. District of Columbia United States. She has also held numerous volunteer leadership positions within professional organizations. Tracy has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence and as an advisor to the Board of Directors of the Clinical Nurse Leader Association.
